Deals & Bargains

Every now and then fantastic deals crop up around the city. Just like on the events page I won’t be posting every deal I find, just the ones I think are particularly good or ones I might take advantage of myself.

If you’ve come across a great deal in Manchester leave a message to let us know.

Likewise, if you take advantage of any of the deals listed let us know how you get on.

Bargains are more fun when they’re shared.

Zaika in the Great Northern are offering a banquet of 4 starters (plus poppadoms) followed by 5 mains with naan and pilau rice, all for £17.95

If you’re one of those people who likes to try a bit of everything and pinches food from other people’s plates (a bit like me then) this might be worth a shot.

They have banquets for both meat eater and vegetarians. You can check out the menu’s and buy the voucher here: http://www.manchesterconfidential.co.uk/Offers/Zaika-Indian-Restaurant-and-Bar

See their website to get an idea of what’s in store: http://www.zaikarestaurants.co.uk/

  2. CUTAWAY MAGAZINE – On sale now

Cutaway Magazine is a literary magazine based in Manchester, England. Featuring a perfect-bound full colour cover, the limited edition Cutaway Magazine issue #1 features 75 pages of literary fiction, borderline genre fiction and poetry as well as black and white photography by twenty-one international contributors from the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway and Nigeria.

Cutaway Magazine is the result of a collaboration between Craig Pay (http://craigpay.com/) and Dave Schofield (http://manchestersartisticson.com/), both published short story writers, bloggers, poets and novelists.

I bought my copy the day it was released (technically the day before). I was gripped from the start by it’s dark humour and quirky subjects. If you fancy reading short stories and poems for a change, or you just want to support fellow Mancunians, check out the website and buy a copy. (It’s only £6.99 +pp and could become a collectors item!)
